Tomorrow is July 4th with all the accompanying fireworks and partying. This article has some good tips on keeping your dog safe. I'm going to be using some of the ideas for my cats too because they are afraid of loud noises. Have fun folks, but keep your furbabies safe too.

Good advice. When I was volunteering at our no kill shelter almost everyone would come in the evening of July 4 th. every section of the shelter had volunteers to play music, talk to them distract them, the dogs and cats...if we had them there was someone to keep eyes on other animals like goats. Of course we needed people up front to take in the newly found pets that ran away. Poor things, the noise was bad enough then they get locked into unfamiliar cages surrounded by other scared animals.
Better to be proactive and save your pet from the extra stress.
