Been a long time since I posted news about the critters. Not sure how much I'm going to get written. I'm falling asleep as I write this.
Kyoti's eye is completely healed. The antihistamine didn't seem to do anything for Mikey's cough. The first few days it seemed like he was coughing less, but that didn't last. Happily he seems okay except when he is actually coughing. The Purrdy Paws (claw covers) helped Krissy. The sore on his face was almost completely healed. Then the covers fell off. He re-opened the sore. I'm struggling to get new covers on his claws. He's fighting me about it. BG is still a big ol' goof. His training is coming along very nicely. He has learned "sit", "up" (means sit up), "down" and "roll over." Silly boy that he can be and he is so eager to please he will do the tricks without cues just to get me to pay attention to him. He's gotten much better about coming when he's called. If he is excited about something though no way will he come. We're still working on it. He has a bad tendency to chase the horses if they start to run. That's a big no-no. Making some progress on getting him to stop. I'm afraid one of them is going to kick him into next week or hurt themself trying to get away from him. I was keeping him in the barn at night and when I'm not home because he wandered off a couple of times early on. He's gotten good about staying home. I leave him loose now if I'm home. I still put him in the barn when I go to work. Neither one of us likes it, but I'm afraid of him getting in trouble with the neighbors or wandering off again. I want to fix the fence around the yard. Then I think it will be safe to leave him in the yard while I'm gone. |
