A few months ago I found a full-grown bearded dragon in my moms front yard. I instantly fell in love, as I've always wanted one but they were too expensive. I named him Buddy. At least I think he's a male, I haven't been able to take him to the vet yet and I can't find any vets in my area that will look at bearded dragons.

I feed him his worms & crickets w/ vitamins (D3 and one multivitamin, I alternate them) a few times a week and he has veggies every day. He has a UVA/UVB bulb too. I was worried about him having tail rot but it turns out his tail just gets super dark before he sheds it, Thank Goodness! Because I was scared I was going to loose him. He has had one complete shed so far! I'm so He is super friendly and loves to sit by my window looking outside. I've learned the hard way to make sure he poo's before I let him out though, he went on my laptop and bed. LOL. He's just a normal little dude whom I love to pieces.

But my question is what kind of enclosure is best for them? I currently have him in an aquarium but he is quickly getting bored of it. What decorations are safe for them? && What is the best way to trim their nails? He doesn't really like me messing with his feet.

This might help:

https://www.beardeddragoncare101.com...rarium-set-up/

Places to perch/climb (limbs or rocks), and a basking area are good. The critical things that they need is a way to regulate the temperature so having a warming area on one side and a cooling area on another. Keeping a thermostat for both sides of the terrarium are important. A huge mistake made that even pet stores sell for them that harms them is putting sand in the bottom for substrate; the sand can get in their eyes causing irritation, infection and problems or get ingested for complications with digestion.

Best wishes to you and Buddy and your new adventures together.
