I have been thinking about cats too much lately and I want another one so bad. After seeing a cat in a small pet store when I went for a walk the other day rub it's face against the window at me while I was waving at it and blowing it kisses, I can't stop obsessing over cats.

I am not ready to commit to getting one just yet but I will be in the near future. How to I deal with my "kitty cravings" in the meantime?

Volunteer at a local rescue or shelter. They always need more help.
Thanks for this!

I want to volunteer but I am having a hard time finding the time to do so when I work and go to school.

Maybe I could see if some shelters are open during Thanksgiving break?

I will be ready to get a cat in Jan but until then, I will just have to try to chill.

I mean, you know you have a problem when you are at your job doing a task alone with nobody in site so you start singing about crazy kitties and coffee and weird stuff and a coworker walks in and starts cracking up.

This actually happened to me last week LOL

Even an hour a week will give you a kitty fix but not eat up a ton of time. Most petsmarts nowadays have a cat adoption area contracted by a local shelter that’s run entirely by volunteers. Even if it’s just to help shy or feral cats become socialized.

How about going to a shelter and just cuddling the cats that are there for adoption? I'm not saying volunteer, just go pet kitties. Or do you know someone with a cat who would let you visit?
Thanks for this!

I could do this.

Beings that I don't drive, I will need to find a shelter close by or wait until my schedule frees up. Right now, I am behind in my studies so I'm needing to devote a lot of extra time to study.

Unfortunately, transportation is still hard for me but I'll try to figure something out.

We have a cat adoption center a couple doors down from us, many people like to just come in and spend time with the cats, petting them and all that fun stuff. I'm sure they enjoy it, and the cats enjoy it too.

I understand your need for a kitty fix, we have 5 cats in our home so there is always someone to pet.
Thanks for this!
