So McGee came home like nothing was wrong. Ate some then went to sleep. I didn't think to much of it I had to be out of the house all day and wanted to get going. I was a little surprised that he did not demand to go out side before I left but I thought that was a good thing because I hadn't seen his face yet.

I got home early afternoon and I was doing a few things when he meowed to go outside and I picked him up and saw him face omg some critter went for his eye and I am not sure what saved his eye but it looked bad.

I waited to hubby got home which he was due in 15 minutes showed him McGee and he said call the vet.

We have been at the vets a lot lately. Our English bull dog got sick then for the last few months we have been working on Sunny our Senior cat and now McGee.

So the vet said it looks like a raccoon got to him and she said he's lucky to have his eye and be alive.

All of his nails are broken she said he fought hard. He's updated on all of his shots and then some so she gave him something for infections just in case one set in.

He's on lucky cat

Cake, scary as eye injuries are cats recover remarkably well from eye injuries.
Thanks for this!

It sounds like McGee is going to recover nicely, and I'm glad of that. Hugs and purrs to your kitty.

Good that McGee is on the mend..... Wonder how the raccoon fared.

Could you get some kind of outside shelter made for the kittehs in your life?
Thanks for this!
