I can't wait till next Friday! I get to pick up my first pet of my own. I grew up with dogs and basically raised them (just didn't pay the bills). Dogs bring out my nurturing side and I have this odd connection. My husband jokes I can get a trained attack dog to sit in my lap.

Anyhow, I will be bringing home a retired champion show stud miniature poodle that is 8 years old. His children are also champion. I can't wait to meet my fluffy boy! I think he will be really good for my mental health as well.
