Fish always has some minor eye discharge after sleeping. It's typically clear and when I wipe it away it doesn't come back until he sleeps again. It's minor, it doesn't seem to bother him. But yesterday I noticed some yellowish eye discharge. This morning Fish's eyes were swollen and red. Great.

So I took him to the vet. The vet did some tests, ruled out a corneal scratch and glaucoma. Most likely was conjunctivitis. Now we have a antibiotic ointment that goes in his eyes twice a day.

I swear, between his anxiety, now the pink eye, and his brother needing stitches two weeks ago...these little dudes are keeping me on my toes!

He's sleeping with his head on my knee now. Going to the vet was very stressful for him. He's so afraid of everyone and everything, but at least he knows this vet and seems to like her better than the other guy.

Poor Fish's eyes seem to be a little itchy, he's been rubbing them, and he's blinking a bit more than normal. Hopefully the ointment will help.
