It's a bad idea to adopt a pet in the immediate run up to Christmas too many get abused then abandoned due to thoughtless humans

Rescue where I live won't let anyone adopt a cat or kitten in December. I agree with it too because they are for life not just for Christmas.

Also, newborn kittens are very hard to take care of if they don't have a mother. They have to be fed every two hours with an eyedropper. And you have to rub their belly or they can't poop. I work, so I can't be home to feed them every two hours. A lot of shelters euthanize kittens that young, because they don't have the time or resources to take care of them.
