I was having a panic attack 20 minutes earlier because of how terrible my anxiety has gotten and how scared I am of everything. Then the cats were fed. 2 out of 3 of them came. The one who usually comes quickly didn’t. My 3 and 5 year old nephews were up this weekend. I think they let him out when they were playing in the backyard. We looked all over the house. Then I looked around the garage. Then the backyard. Then the neighborhood. I put something on my towns Facebook page. My emotions are so scary right now. It’s like I’ve completely shut down. Is there anything else I can do right now? I am fuming at my nephews and sister and brother in law. It will be awhile before I forgive them for this. That cat was my rock. Every time I’d look at him I’d feel so much love for him.

I’m so sorry about your cat! I would be just as upset as you are if one of my pets was missing. Has this cat gotten out before? Do you think he can find his way home? Did you try calling local shelters or vet offices? I hope you find him. Keep us posted. |

No he’s never gotten out before. We walked around the neighborhood two other times. We tried calling the local animal hospital. We got a lot of response to our Facebook posts. So we have our community looking out for him. Currently we are putting info on a lost pet website. I have vacation plans later this week. I have a $500 non refundable hotel room. So I really have to go. Luckily I have an aunt who lives a couple blocks away who will help us out if they find him when we are gone.

Oh wow, I'm so sorry Mountaindewed. I'd be freaked out too. Does your cat come when you call? Or when you have treats? Growing up - we had a cat that would come running when we shook the can of treats. I wonder if carrying something like that with you when you're out walking might help gets his attention (more than just calling his name)?
I hope your kitty finds his way back home soon! |

This is the strangest thing. My mom came out of the bathroom this morning. And he was just sitting by the bathroom door. His fur wasn’t wet and he didn’t look like he had been outside. We literally have no idea what happened. He never hides and we looked everywhere for him last night. It’s almost like that whole cats have 9 lives thing. It was that strange. But he’s safe.

This just occurred to me. Do you give your kitty treats? When I had pets, one way I could get them to come to me was to shake loudly the container their treats were in, LOL They always came running! __________________ "Love you. Take care of you. Yay, so glad you found your cat! Cats are very good at hiding. The last time I took mine to the vet, it took me thirty minutes to find her. I think she was moving from one hiding spot to another.
