My room mate's cat, Hailey, has totally adopted me. I'm typically home most of the day, as I don't work, and she loves to snuggle with me on the couch.

Yesterday I was knitting, and she hopped up on my lap, stretched out and just stared at my yarn. I was a bit nervous, but she didn't try to touch it or eat it, after a preliminary sniff. She just stared at it. So I got 2 of my favourite things, kitty cuddles and knitting.

She's such a sweetheart. I'm going to be really sad when my room mate moves out.

I have always noticed that cats are downright determined to make every human in the household eventually love them. As your roommate if you can adopt the cat.

I am glad that you are having some kitty time. I hope that it will be a long time before your room mate and Hailey move out.
