My little kitty Caroline is fascinated by water. She hops up on the edge of the tub when I'm taking a bath and watches the water. And she's intrigued when I pour water into her water bowl, watching the bubbles form and the water moving. One time she reached out with her paw and touched a bubble. Today she came into the bathroom where her water bowl is and crouched down in front of it, looking toward the water. So, I poured more water into the bowl and she stayed there. mesmerized, the end of her tail moving. I really think she was waiting for me to pour water in, so she could watch.

What is something your pet does?

Oh I could go on for pages....

Miette (cat) likes to hold one of my fingers in her mouth. She doesn't bite. She just holds my finger for a little while.

I also think Miette is part magpie. She LOVES bright shiny things. She's forever making off with things.

Abby (cat) used to love to watch the water go round in the toilet when it flushed. If I was sitting on the toilet she'd pay me on the hip. That meant "get up and make it swirl"

BG (dog) does what we call "zoom." He tears around the pasture or up and down the driveway. Boy howdy can he fly!

Mikey(cat) stands on the back of the sofa when I come home after work. If I'm on time he wants lovin'. If I'm late he scowls and reads me the riot act.

It's amazing how cats can have such different personalities. I've read that cats like running water and prefer to drink from it. That makes biological sense because running water has fewer germs. I usually put the lid down before I flush, but I can imagine my Caroline wanting to watch the toilet, too. That funny, liz. So much for reading the paper while on the potty!

I was doing a sing-a-long of patriotic songs on the TV. Caroline was lying on top of the sofa in the den. too. Her eyes got really big and she stared at me, like what are you doing?

At least her eyes didn't get wide and she didn't run out of the room like one of my cats has done when I've been singing. Gee, don't they know talent when they hear it?
