Dobby has a vet appointment Thursday. He scratched sores on his head/neck, belly and around his tail. Last time I had one do this it was a flea allergy, but I don't see any of the little buggers on him. Time to let the vet sort it out.

It was funny today. I opened the door and screen door to the deck so I could take out a table and left them open as I brought out lunch. Sir sat right in the middle with his nose outside. He’s curious but he absolutely will not put a paw outside. But he doesn’t mind traveling by carrier or in the car on long trips I put him in a harness and hook him to the back seat. He can reach his litter box on one side and food and water on the other side. But when the car is moving he’s usually inside the carrier. He just doesn’t want to get left outside.

Nammu, several of mine will sit in an open door sniffing the "outside" smells but will NOT step outside. Their expression looks like they are convinced there are monsters out there. Sounds like Sir is being a smart boy.

The vet is treating Dobby as if he has flea allergy. He also had an ear infection. They used a new kind of topical flea treatment, gave him an antibiotic injection, cleaned his ears and used a topical for that infection. They sent him home with three weeks worth of steroids. Turns out he is a bear about taking pills. I resorted to grabbing him by the scruff, pulling his head back and tossing the pill down his throat. We go back in a month for a recheck. Fingers crossed.

Lol....this morning I was getting my truck loaded to haul the food & water up to my horse at the barn down the road. Had the garage door open. Decided to make a cup of coffee before I left. Hit the button to close the garage door while opening the door into the kitchen. I couldn't believe Gabe kitty could make it OUT the kitchen door & out the garage door before it was even half way closed. He is good because he never wanders far from the house & even though he knows I feed all the birds on my deck, he never bothers them. He wanders around a little then comes back up to me wanting back in.
Giving pills to my cat, I always ground them up & mixed in moist food. My dogs were good with meds on cheese balls. Forget getting a worker tube in my horses mouth. Lol....I squirt it into her feed & mix it around & cover it with chunks of carrot & apple mixed in. Always gone so I know she got it all. Ah, the fun of giving meds to our critters __________________ Leo's favorite place was in the passenger seat of my truck. We went everywhere together like this. Dobby's been sleeping a lot since he went to the vet, but he's not looking for hidey holes. Hopefully the not hiding means he is feeling a bit better.

I take Jazzy to the vet next week for her annual vaccines. I'm not too worried about it. She's easy to catch and fairly easy to get in the carrier. She cries. She doesn't like it. But I will put her favorite towel in there with some calming spray. Hopefully, that will make it better for her. She's good on the way home. I'm glad my vet is just around the corner. The following week, I take Nyke. He's harder to catch. But he doesn't really cry once in the carrier. He just goes along.
