Our animals'/pets' check in
I see a lot of check ins but I don't see an animal/pet check in. If there is already one can you point me to it? I know I can spend a lot of typing and talking about my pets, is it ok to start a thread for anyone to join in? __________________ "A laugh is worth a hundred groans in any market." Charles Lamb

Today, my pup (about 9 months) and I went to the dog park.., I have found two where we moved to.
Today When we entered i noticed a cute pitbull running around on the shy/small dog area and asked the guy why, he mentioned his pup gets a little rambunctious with others so they were playing in that area instead of the largeareas. I asked if he thought their pup would do well with mine because my pup thinks she a big dog , pup and pit bull pup (7months) played around for a while. I felt bad that the pit bull pup was playing alone and have had more experience now, and something in my gut said it would be ok and it was. I talked with the guy and we both kept an eye on the dogs. After pit bull pup left my pup and I went to the other side and she played with a bunch more dogs She is still working on recall, but has been better with coming and today she amazed me she sat and let me put her leash on. We also went to Lowes today and she did great, we walked around and even shopped. She did a down stay while I paid and stayed even as a person walked by in the process. She still has more learning and experiences but I think we're coming along. My cat is happy we're back home, he's laying on the floor on his back right now, which i love to see!! __________________ "A laugh is worth a hundred groans in any market." Charles Lamb

Beauflow, I think a pet check in is a great idea!
It's 6 in the AM so not a lot going on yet. The cats are having their post-breakfast baths. I asked BG if he wanted to go outside. He gave me a bleary eyed look as if to say "the dang birds aren't even awake yet!" |

Hi, beauflow, I don't have any pets right now but I still love to hear other people talk about their pets. I love watching the tv shows about the cute things pets do. So I agree, this thread is a great idea.

Hi! This is a great idea! I was just thinking about posting about my cats. I can post here. My cats are driving me nuts. They want to eat all the time. I try to put them on a schedule but they started demanding. Mr. N starts crying and Little Miss J bites my legs. I can't cope with it. So I feed them when they want. It's not good. They are gaining weight. Today I will try to feed them every 8 hours. And if they start up, I'll go sit in bed until they get their minds off of it. When I sit in bed and read, they join me and sleep.

Great idea! My dog has had a noisy belly today and hasn't eaten. This happens sometimes. Poor thing. She's been normal every other way tho, chasing the squirrels just like regular. I've been having to take her outside for potty all the time as there is construction on my balcony where i had an area set up for her for when it wasn't convenient to go out. We're in our fourth week and it's going well. There was only one time when i was really angry that i had to take her out. It's not as hard as i thought it would be, thankfully.
My dog is a seven year old Schnoodle, very gentle and co-operative and loving. She likes to lick my ears! Such a pleasure! |

My humans have fed me on schedule given me my 5o’clock meal, treat, and fresh water. I’ve had my wash up and am prepared to nap on a lap for the rest of the evening. The only disappointment today was the lack of squirrels and bunnies to watch.

Must have been the day for dogs with noisy tummies. BG upchucked a couple of times this morning. The rest of the day his belly rumbled and grumbled. I was wondering if he needed to see the vet. He spent some time with me in the yard late this afternoon. He didn'tdo his usual zombies around the yard, but seems okay this evening. No more noisy belly either. My guess is he found something he shouldn't have eaten out in the pasture.

The vet says i can give my dog Pepcid-AC for her stomach, so i did that and it fixed her right up and she ate. Aces! She spit it out the first time but i got it down her the second time. I love taking care of my baby!

My cats did well today. My male cat woke me up tonight so he could get more food. I fed him before going to bed. He'll do that sometimes. Just jump on the bed and scratch at my legs until I wake up. He's such a brat! Lol! I think their feeding schedule today is thrown off. Oh well, I tried. We'll do better tomorrow.

Introducing my felines Solomon, Sidney, Sadie, Jack, and London Calling!
Everybody did their dawn running from one end of the apartment to the other and cleaning themselves, eating and drinking. And using the litter boxes. Now is snuggle-up time until someone(s) wanders out for a snack, then back to snoozing. This afternoon will be warm and sunny, great time to sleep. __________________ |

The cats got new toys. My male cat enjoyed it. He usually doesn't like to play. My female cat played some but not that much. She was more interested in the box the toys came in. What's so weird is I bought a catnip kicker. Neither one of them played with it. I thought cats liked to play. My cats mainly sleep or lay around. One is 6 years and the other is 3 years.

My guy is 13-15 ( he’s a rescue so exact age is unknown) and loves to play. His favorite is hair bands, small fuzzy mice and feathers. He spends lots of time watching out the windows and knows, birdie, bunny and squirrel means go look out the window. He likes routines and at 5 he wants dinner. I think it just depends on the cat. Some play more than others.
He’s very particular about visitors. Kids are not to be trusted and he hides. Other people he’ll judge on a person by person biases. In his old age he’s starting to mellow about kids, he let my 3 yr old granddaughter give him a treat and pet him. __________________ Nammu …Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. He wanted his 5o’clock meal at 4:30 then had a wash and headed to his bed in the window.

My dog had a great time chasing the squirrels this afternoon. Her front legs trot while her back legs gallop. But this is not a 'trollop' because that is a loose woman! Perhaps a 'gallot'?

Ha ha, he sets his own time and expects us humans to abide by his wishes and wants!

My cats are good today. We played a little bit. I'm realizing that the male cat is the alpha. Little Miss J won't play while he's playing. She let's him play even though I have two wands and there's enough room for both of them.

This is BG. The people that make bad noises were outside today. I told Mom about it and she kept me safe.
