Ugh, I think my cat is sick. I tend to overreact and take him in and then there is nothing wrong. I have done this pretty much every year for years. He does have a sensitive stomach.

But last night he cried all night long. I am 99% sure that it is due to my giving him something for his constipation -- that was what it was the last time. I had tons of blood tests and X-rays in March and he was fine.

Just before he started crying he did a very wet and smelly poop.

I got zero sleep last night and it almost seems like he didn't. And he is still sort of up and about now.

He is still eating, going to the bathroom and rather energetic so I feel like I just can't take him in.

He also sometimes get sick from his asthma. Some of the congestion from that builds and ends up in his stomach. Usually he just throws it up. This is like 1x per year.

We are both so stressed about this endless stay at home order. I know he isn't getting good quality sleep and I am not either. I keep thinking, if I can just make it 3 more months and then, 3 months comes and goes and we are three more months.

I gave him some fori fora (only draw back is that tends to make him constipated) and usually that helps.

Dear NatalieJastrow,

I am so very, very sorry your cat is not well. That must be so hard on you. I've never had a cat but I've had pet rabbits and pet rats and when they got sick I was just a nervous wreck. My heart goes out to you! I hope your cat will be back to 100% very soon!

Sincerely yours, Yao Wen

It’s always stressful when a pet is sick, so sorry you’re both having a hard time right now.

Hope he'll be well soon. As you say, it could be the bowel issue.

Thanks all he seems better today. Honestly I got the feeling light night maybe he was faking some of it. Yesterday he slept all day without a peep. At normally, but, when I went to bed he followed me up and started meowing at me. Seemed like a habit. So I used the "noise can" that is kind of his message I don't want him doing what he is doing... and he went back to bed and slept all night without a peep.

Glad I didn't take him in.
