Can a reasonably healthy pet pass away under anasthectic?
To our knowledge, apart from a bad leg and a little bit of hearing loss, Tigger has not got any other health conditions (vet has so far not said about anything concerning) could she still die under the anasthectic they are doing to her while they check her mouth? its been almost all day and i'm scared in case something's happened and she's died under anasthectic i dont want to start googling cause thats a rabbit hole that will only make me worse |

I had a very old dog with health problems who had to undergo anesthetic. He survived. I think it's rare that something bad happens... But the vet has to warn you of all possible risks... You say it's been almost a day... would you consider calling the vet's office to find out about Tigger? |

Willow, there is always a danger of putting any critter under anesthesia. Vet's have to warn us and have us sign a release for their protection. That said, the vet's office would have called you immediately if there was a problem. Take a deep breath and try to relax. It's scary when one of the furbabies is at the vet's.

Tigger's home now, Willow was hissing at her, just given them both treats to help Willow decide that Tigger means good things
