The vet aspirated BG's latest lump. NO SIGN OF MAST CELLS!
She said there was signs of debris in the bump. Most likely he poked himself on something and got "stuff" under the skin. Because it is small, size of a pea, we are going to just watch it. Ought resolve on its own.

We also talked about his clinginess. Like so many other pets following the pandemic he's developed separation anxiety. We are going to try Prozac and some behavior training.

All and all a positive, productive trip to the vet.

I told the vet I felt like I was being kind of hypochondrical about the new lump. She said based on his history she didn't blame me.

The behavior training is 2X beneficial. He is learning better manners and he is delighted he is getting more "mom time"

I haven't started him on the Prozac yet. Behavior training seems to be helping with his clinginess. Would rather not medicate him if it's not necessary.

Training seems to be helping. We do little short sessions throughout the day.

Started his Prozac on Tuesday. Too soon to see if it is helping.

Yeppers! The dog and two of the cats are on Prozac. It helps with anxiety in critters. It's helping the cats. No more peeing around the house or cat wars. I'm a bit concerned about Beeg. All he wants to do is sleep. I wanted him to chill a bit, but not be a zombie. I know with people the side effects of antidepressants can kick in before the beneficial effects. I'm going to give it another week. That'll be two weeks on the med. If he is still zombiefied then I'll call the vet.

Aww poor Beeg. Hopefully he’ll get used to it and it won’t knock him down any more but knock the anxiety down instead.

I was laughing at myself this morning. There are times his energetic goofiness can get on my nerves. I was missing that this morning.

Ha ha now I’m picturing Beeg in the corner with John Lennon glasses and a French hat, smoking.

Dagnabit autocorrect! I am envisioning him with a doobie.

He showed some of his goofieness earlier today. We were getting ready to go for a ride. He started tap dancing and wiggling his backside.
