Took Miss Miette to the vet today. It was supposed to just be a regular annual check up and shots.

She's had a small lump on her left ear for awhile now. It started getting bigger in the last couple months. Vet did a needle aspirate. It's a mast cell tumor. Yeah, mast cell tumor like Beeg. The vet said mast cells on cats are normally benign, but still... She's scheduled for surgery after the first of the year.

Emotionally I tossed in the towel. First Beeg. Then Hazel and the snake bite. Then Hazel's torn ACL. Now Miette. I've given myself permission to feel like chit for a bit. Not going to let myself wallow, but need to just crawl in my cave and lock my wounds for a bit.
