So what is Santa bringing your fur babies tonight?
Hazel is getting a new collar, some treats and doggie "perfume." She got a Christmas t-shirt and two sweaters ahead of time. I'll try to post pictures of her in her new finery. The horses have been getting carrots added to their meals morning and night. The boarder sent an a sure mountain of carrots over yesterday. She (boarder) is home with a nasty stomach virus. I guess she felt guilty she would not see them before Christmas. She had he husband bring the treats over. Cats are getting new toys, a couple of new scratch boards and tubes of Churu (sp?). I got myself some cold cuts and cheese to munch on while I watch It's a Wonderful Life. Critters will get to share that too. |

@lizardlady oh wonderful all your animals are well taken care of.
I give the African Gray bird pieces of carrot and broccoli stems. He chews a little bit an drops it to the bottom of his care where he cannot get it. I heard birds are picky eaters To you and yours, Merry Christmas. @CANDC __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |

Lol....on the lump of coal. Was tempted to give Cote that after he snuck off with one of my shoes when I was changing cloths & chewed up my shoe.

Cote & Sophie both got kongs. Cote got the one for destructive dog toughness. Got bunches of treats to last until I make my own peanut butter/pumpkin dog biscuits. A friend gave me her doggie bone cookie cutter before Christmas but haven't had the energy to make them. Got a tough "fire hose" material squeeky toy for Sophie so Cote won't destroy it for her. Cats got kitty toys for in their kitty room where Cote can't get them. At the stage of Cote's life he is not getting anything really nice that isn't also non- destructible. I got a couple of those nice muddy feet rugs & he chewed a hole in it within 15 minutes of my putting it down on the floor. Repairable but will get tossed in with the rest of "Cote repair" items. When he gets out of puppy stage & maybe even teenager stage, then we will reassess the things he gets. I did get him 2 bright orange non-destructible balls for outside play once the hedge apples have rotted away. Right now i have piles of them to use from & they taste horrible so he doesn't chew them up. Puppy life is such a challenge but so much fun at the same time

My babies got their usual treats. I don't dare try something different, especially with my kitty Caroline, since she's so picky.
