my kakariki has been pulling her feathers out for a while now, we were told it was due to her mate dieing, and that she was missing him...... sounded logical...
so we put our sons cockatail in with her, and it seemed to work for a while, but then is started again.....
and now our kakariki has been pulling her feathers out of her neck and back... so bad this time that she has caused bleeding to her neck.
im worried that she may be dieing herself.....
also, i have heard via another site, that there is a group of feathers on her back, while when pulled, can make the bird bleed to death... i was just wondering if anyone else has heard this, or is it just a old wifes tale.
