Helloooo there,
So I only started binging like 2 months ago. Actually, I had AN which I went into treatment for and got "weight restored" and all that jazz. But now this. At first it was every couple of days. Then it was every other day consistently. Then it was EVERY day. Even twice a day a few times. Now it's either every day or every other. When I read things online about binging, people tend to say every week or so. Am I alone in how often this happens???

I don't think you're alone. people can binge as often as they eat. I know when I'm on an upswing (trying to diet/be "good") it is less often (once a week or every two weeks). I feel like the food is a distraction from how I'm really feeling but as we all know it's a vicious cycle.

are you on any medications? what are you struggling with emotionally?

My emotions are all over the place. The treatment for my anorexia was a whole lot of parental involvement (Maudsley, if you've heard of it) so they get to control my weight, which has been pretty distressing. And so I turned to self harm, which means I don't get to see the T I've become quite attached to because I need to switch to DBT. It just hasn't been a good year or two. The food is a distraction. Even when I feel sick and all my cravings are gone I just keep going

I have only just restarted an anti-depressant I stopped taking a couple months ago in a random act of rebellion (had to pretend I was still taking it). Hoping that once that kicks in again it will help me get this under control.

Thanks
