Well i just had dinner a few hours ago... then i had ate some chips, cookies, ice cream, more dinner and drank too much pop..... i tried to make myself throw up but i couldnt. I feel like a failure for eating like this. all the issues in my life right now are causing me to be extremely stressed out and i go back and forth from starving myself to binge eating.... i really wish i could control myself but i cant seem to do it

Well, at least you could not throw up. That part is good.
Thanks for this!

Throwing up causes a huge new array of problems that you would not want. Including errosion of the esogagphus, rotting of the teeth and addition that is very painful. Please do not get into purging. It is an addition that causes heartache. And can lead to hospital stays.

I am sorry things are so hard for you right now. I wish I had some great wisdom to help. But I dont. All I can hope is that you can find a way to not beat yourself up for whats going on. I do not do well in OA. But I know many people who find great support and help doing that program. For many it has been a life saver.

Yeah I read about all those things that could happen from purging. I have been doing it for years and never had a single one of those problems. Maybe it is because I am so diligent about brushing, flossing and rising with listerine right after. I also drink coconut water right after and take zing and magnesium to make sure I do not get dehydrated. Now what it has done is mess up my metabolism. Not in recovery yet but the urges have subsided along with the frequency.

I've been purging since 15 (I'm 34 now) and it's a nightmare. It's so easy to get caught up in and so hard to get out of. Hang in there...it's a crappy place to be right now, no doubt about it, but it can get better.
