Has anyone used topamax for binge eating? I got prescribed it and I was wondering if it worked.

It made me slow down eating because I was nauseous the entire time I was on it. It also gave me gastrointestinal upset. I couldn't stay on it

I've been on Topamax for years as a mood stabilizer. It cuts my appetite and I've lost weight on it.

I was on it and it worked well but then I went off of ot because of overwhelming fatigue which I thought was caused by topi max. Turns out I have sleep apnea. I'd like to go back on it.

I'm on a lower dose (100mg) for another issue and it does nothing for my eating problems.

I had a horrible reaction. I almost passed out and it made me vomit. I couldn't drink enough water with it. It also made me stupid and I couldn't focus. Some call it dopomax!

I've been on it for migraines for almost 6 months now, up to 300 mgs for a while now and I haven't had any luck with cutting down on my obsessive overeating.

I think there was some appetite suppression in the first couple of weeks when I started, but I now think that was probably a placebo effect.

I didn't notice any appetite suppression with Topomax. It made Diet Coke taste funny, tho. I love Diet Coke.
