Every day seems to have a calamity in it. There may be some good parts but then the world blows up. My husband and I are so different and every day problems show up. One is that we are very different in our food likes and wants. Honestly, He likes lots of spice and garlic and onions. I like more standard fare. He smells pretty awful. I did talk to him about that. My head hurts and I have indigestion. I am tired of all these differences. Everywhere!

We are all so different and unique in our preferences and what we like and don't like.

I know lots of people who don't like spicy / garlic food. And I must say, garlic can leave some what of an after effect doesn't it (if you don't eat it, that is).

I do think it could be okay to have these differences in preferences. There could be ways of working around it. It's okay to have the standard fare and for him to like his spicy things. I'm not entirely sure what advice to offer if you don't like putting up with the smell. Perhaps someone can help out on that.
Thanks for this!

I understand about the smell. I finally told my husband when I came into the bedroom at night sometimes I just had to turn around and go out. He did stop overusing the garlic and cleaned up a good bit. I have spoken about his breath too but that seems to be an ongoing problem. I put a pillow propped up between us to help shelter me from the smell.
