My sister developed an eating disorder after going through a traumatizing incident in her past. She eats throughout the day, in spite of not feeling any hunger. She tried to stop it but nothing worked for her. She went for a counseling session and they identified it to be a disorder and asked to seek help. We have decided to take the help of an eating disorder treatment center . Has anyone faced similar situation? Was the treatment effective? Thanks in advance!

Hi SuzanneHug, welcome to Psych Central. Kudos to you for helping your sister get counseling and treatment.

there are many links that talk about treatment for ED here at Psych Central.
