My doctor gave me Vyvanse. Although he doesn't necessarily feel I have BED. I also take Wellbutrin SR (150mg 2x/day).

Does anyone have XP with Vyvanse? Or with the 2 medicines together. What's the chances of addiction (or getting high) from Vyvanse. They say that is a possibility. Any information is appreciated.

I tried it for a few weeks but am having better results with topamax. Vyvanse wore out too quickly (about 4-6 hours) and if I waited too long in the day to take it, then I'd be up all night. I tended to binge eat in the evening so it didn't work for me. Also, you need to be careful with it because it can be addictive. From what I understand about getting addicted to it, it comes from increasing your dosage in order to get the same effect of the drug.

How come your doc doesn't feel you have BED if you don't mind me asking? Are you seeing a therapist also?
