how quickly 1 good week can spiral out of control..

started this week with high hopes that i'll do well with food, and have now had 3 takeouts
(thankfully not back to bac), but still feel really bad about it

Gah, I know the feeling. I've done it myself plenty of times.

sometimes take out meals are better than what i make for myself. It is okay... your body must have needed it and you were hungry...better than getting home late and not eating but a cookie or donut before bed.... there is always tomorrow...

I got take out, but I had them put spinach on my sub instead of lettuce. Does that make up for it? I hardly cook anymore.

I know this so well...I can't stop myself from getting them and feeling guilty afterwards. And every time I think "tomorrow I'm going to start eating healthy"...

Gosh, my disability budget is so tight, if I spend $25 a month on Dominos, I regret the gone money all month.

What about figuring out some dream or goal or item you want to buy yourself, and creating a food budget? At first, just a budget that takes off say $50 of what you currently spend, then later $100. Between me and my husband, we spend about $350 a month.

I bet with the extra $50-$200 a month you would have you could buy a boat, a trip, a convertible, a new roof.... whatever your heart desires.

Like, a banana at a grocery store is $.60, and a sandwich of about the same size $2.00. If you were to figure out how much per month you spend on food, it might help.

Just a thought from an envious broke person.

thanks for sharing that thought... not a bad idea.

of course i'll probably figure out some other way to get what i want, so in the long run it might not work, but it's worth a try
Thanks for this!
