I noticed lately, that I've been eating a lot. To the point where my stomach hurts. Even when I'm not hungry. I feel a loss of control and keep eating. I feel bad afterwards, especially because my stomach hurts. I don't throw up the food though. I'm not skinny, that's for sure. I'm afraid to tell my doctor or therapist. Think I might have a eating disorder...

I want to. I just don't want them to have someone watch me eat.

Haven't seen the doctor or therapist yet. Because I haven't been going to this outpatient program that I've been going to. I've been sick. But I should be going tomorrow. The outpatient program is for people who are on the spectrum or with autism. Since I have autism as well. But I noticed on the check in sheet it has a option to check off, restrict or excessive eating. So if I check that off, the therapist will definitely bring it up and talk with me. Which would be good.

Sorry I forgot. So I told a person working with my psychiatrist about how I thought I might have a eating disorder. Binge eating disorder. She said she would let my psychiatrist know and see what he thinks.

No updates as of yet. Still waiting for the doctor to get back to me. Hopefully he or the assistant do soon.

They didn't mention anything about a eating disorder yet. But they decided to lower one of my medications to see if it would help with the excessive eating. Even though this medicine usually causes no appetite. They also recommended I keep a food log. A nurse did a thing called blind weighing. Where she weighed me but covered the number that the scale says, so only she can see it. Don't know what that was about.

I don't know either

perhaps she just didn't want you overwelmed by what ever number it was

I know it can make people upset when they see for themselves what they are doing
Thanks for this!

Is there anything you notice that might be triggering the binges? A certain food or sugar?

I used to binge eat a lot. Once its "turned on" its hard to stop. For me, its sugar mostly. If I eat something sweet, I want to eat everything else.

Anything flavorful. But I hate eating bland food. So that isn't a option for me. Otherwise I wouldn't eat at all.
