TW: I tagged this as triggering, but not sure if it is? Mentions specific food triggers that I have.
Hiya everyone I've known for a couple years now that I have a problem with binge-eating. I've always eaten a lot in general. But since I moved into my own place, without any family or roommates around, I've noticed that I've started binge-ing all the time. It used to be, "Okay, I'll have one more slice of pizza, or the whole box. Can't hurt, right?" But now, I eat even when I'm not hungry. I eat tons of food without even thinking about it. Suddenly I look down and a whole plate of food is just gone. Lately, my strategy has been to get rid of foods that are especially triggering to me. Like cheese (I will eat several blocks a day - it's gross, but I don't know, I just really love cheese). And tortillas, and bread of any kind. And anything sweet. But then I feel miserable without these things, and I'll end up caving and buying a tub of ice cream at the store. And of course, then it disappears by the next day. I don't know, I'm just so annoyed with myself. I've noticed that my family and friends have started giving me questioning/judging looks when I eat at their places. Because I'll have third helpings and then eat dessert. It's frustrating. Anyway, thanks for reading this, if you did. I'm hoping to get to know some of y'all and maybe we can support each other in this. ![]() |

Do you have any support? A therapist or someone that can help guide you to managing your eating?
I know you must be frustrated. ![]() |
