I have some hope about my overeating because i am trying something new. My doctor wants me to make only one or two small manageable realistic changes and only add more when i have succeeded. The goal is to eventually be eating according to The Canada Food Guide which has always struck me as sensible.

So i started three days ago with the two changes of having a maximum of three Coke Zeros a day and one apple. I've stuck to it except for not having an apple today because of a stomach ache. If i can keep it up for a week i will add more.

I feel some hope about this plan because it's not an abrupt overhaul of my entire way of eating as i have always done in the past with restrictive diets. I actually find myself eager to make more changes and having to resist.

Anyhoo, that's the new thing i am trying out and i feel some hope that it will work. At least it's not the same old thing (dieting) that i've tried 100 times before and failed at. Onward!

Hi Whatever2013,

As someone struggling against overeating myself, I wish you only the very, very best in your struggle. People not struggling against overeating cannot really understand how difficult and even painful it can be. I wish you only the best! ! !

I'm glad that you have a physician to help you through your struggles with overeating. Good Luck.
