i recently got a call from my son that his wife was losing it i flew to them right away. just in 4 days there has been a big difference she is becoming more and more paranoid. she has been to a psycologist which looks like its gonna be once a week so far . this poor girl cant even cope in everyday things . she thinks people are drugging her kids because her son suddenly tell you he wants to go potty and he now speaks sentences. hes almost 3 hes doing all the normal things but to her hes being drugged. let me tell you i think it has probly been going on for awhile but took this long for her to have full blown symptoms. about 2 weeks ago she just started talking crazy. thinks my son wants to leave her. everywhere they go she thinks all the people are working together to get her. the man in the store greeted them and said hi she asked my son is he in on it. they live directly in the flight path of the airport and she says the helecopter are flying over her house spying. she cannot function from hour to hour sometimes minute by minute. she is very aware and wants to go back to how she felt. is this paranoid personality disorder? by the way my son is military navy and she is japanese they have been here in the u.s. for a year and a half everything was fine so we think until a month ago and really bad the last 2 weeks. my son took her last night to military emergency room they gave her medication but it pretty much knocks her out . i want her to get help but does the help mean she has to be drugged to where she cant function in the real world? me and my son are so sad and he is so hurt and mad we dont understand. any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

There comes a time in everyone's life when you just can't take on anymore those who feed off of you and your life. The sense of well-being is gone and to replace it, fear and confusion are first in line. I understand it's a disorder but I believe she is this way intentionally, which makes her a what?
Just bat **** crazy!!!!!

I'm not quite understanding what you meant by "intentionally" and at the same breath acknowledged that it was a disorder. Doesn't it sound, from the post, that the person in question was genuinely plagued by some kind of paranoia. I'm trying learn to discern between real issues and senseless acts, because I'm dealing with a loved one who's struggling with some kind of disorder (most likely paranoia). What is it or what evidence from the post did you get that made you think that she did it intentionally and fed off of people around her?

I want to learn from all people with various opinions to help me cope with and manage the problems we are facing.
