Does anyone else have the problem where they start to panic when checking emails, turning the phone on or jumping when the phone rings because I get the feeling that I might receive some bad news or feel like I'm going to be in trouble for some reason. Also if I ever have a heart to heart with someone or share a problem I sit there afterwards (after short term relief) and think of ways these people will betray me or what could go wrong so I want to get rid of them? I also cover my webcam with a sticker and worry that someone's spying on me through a keylogger or something. I know ofcourse that these things are all in my head but am I the only one who has it? And am I in the right section by the way?

Hi Numpty,
I find the phone, e-mails and post / mail very difficult to deal with. I avoid the phone as much as possible, although due to my work do have to use it sometimes - I do manage to get out of answering it sometimes. Has also posed problems with my T, as he has asked me to call rather than do other unhelpful things when I am having difficulties, but I can't actually manage to bring myself to speak with him on the phone. When opening my e-mails, I get really anxious - again poses problems at work as I do have to deal with a large number of e-mails, that are sometimes heavy going - I seem to do better if I look at them regularly and worse if I have been out of the office for a few days, when it can feel overwhelming. Post / snail mail is again really hard - I have to look at the colour of the envelope, size etc.. before I then check to ensure it is actually addressed to me. Sometimes I don't manage to open it and have a heap of unopened letters - So you're not alone __________________ Soup |
