A person close to me tends to suspect every move of his fiance and arrives at conclusions based on his own observations and ideas. In a general sense he seems to mistrust others and hold them easily at fault. He has a sense of self assertiveness and refuses to accept ideas in contrast to his and holds grudges quickly on people whom he believes have caused him damage. I read in many sites about paranoid personality disorder and believe he has such symptoms. He was engaged previously which broke off triggered by this nature of his. He got engaged again after about 8 months and the present relationship is at stake because of this. Can this condition be cured? If so how long can it take? and what would be the role of the dear ones around him?
