I did the main intro but since I will mostly be posting in this section I wanted to place one here as well. My wife was diagnosed approximately a year ago with major depression and middle anxiety after being hosptialized for a week after having thoughts of hurting herself. Previous to that she was treated for well over a year for anxiety.
During this spring, my wife was overmedicated and was really the shell of her former self. Unfortunately, I have not always been the best partner and had a hard time dealing with my wife's health. In June, she was re-diagnosed with bipolar II disorder. The medication she is now on seems to be helping her. She is currently having a hard time dealing with how limited she feels. She believes she is not a good mother to our 2 1/2 year old son and is no longer able to work. I am constantly amazed by the strength she shows and how she continues to take life head on as much as she can. I have a much better appreciation of living in the moment and really understanding how important family and true friends our. I am hoping to find support here and hope I will be able to give back just as much. |
