Dear Newto,, is hubby seeing a doc ? is he on Meds ? are they working for him ? if he is sneaking then you should worry, if he's lying, worry. Mania often comes with a total lack of impulse control and a giant leap in the ability to manipulate others. Protect yourself, in case he gets an STD. I don't know you very well, but if you are not normally suspicious, or if this is a past pattern of behavior for him,, worry. Better safe than sorry. (Recovering Maniac) Gus

Yes, he's seeing a doc, but his doc stinks...never checks in on him and his med doses...he's taking lamictal and Vyvanse (for ADHD). Your post scares me...as far I know, he's doing the drug thing (marijuana-he's addicted). This weekend while we were away, "slipped away" 3 times and was very stoned...did it with me ( i'm a one puff girl...but no more for his sake) too on top of it. I truly don't believe he's lying 'cause I asked him if he's cheating on me. This hypomanic behavior has been "normal" for him every summer (since we met 6 yrs ago), but he was recently diagnosed last Nov. (his sister, mom and grandma have mental disorders as well) and now I/we know why he's like this on a rollercoaster ride. This is his "up" time and then he crashes down into deep depression September (fall-seasonal cycle for him). The worry is this...simple tasks like going to the grocery store are taking him 2 hours. When I confront him, he gets angry and says "Why does everyone need to know where I go?" because on our family trip all 3 kids noticed the "daddy always takes so long" and his sis says, "where is he now?" Finally, he's spending sooooo much money on "nothing" and I'm a teacher so no pay coming in during the summer. Ok, sorry to rant on, but all of this was fresh in my mind after a somewhat disappointing weekend.
