Having a very difficult time lately. My fiancee and I both suffer from bipolar disorder. It's SO difficult because it seems like one of us is up the other is down. We are both currently getting back on the right medications. (at least I hope we are headed to that)

We both have thoughts about how we shouldn't be together because of our illness's. Have talked about not having children because we don't want to pass on the genes. .... Does anyone have any insight/input?

He suffers from paranoid delusions. Being new to me, I never know how to react when I hear what's brewing in his head. I have tried to rationalize his thoughts. Although this only seems to anger him. Which sends me into panic attacks.

I love this man dearly. I want to have the rest of my life with him and eventually start a family. I am just so lost and unsure. When things in y life get difficult I am a quitter. Luckily all the times i have said "its over" he has stepped in and made me rethink my decision. I'm not looking for someone to tell me if I should or shouldn't end the relationship. Just looking for some support from others on how to deal.

We are both out of work. Which doesn't help things. We are also currently not living together. So things just seem to be worse when we are apart I want to be with him... Yet when we are together I feel the need to go home and be in my "safe place."

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
