I've just recently started caring for my disabled Grandmother over the last few months and am finding I could really use advice, support, and information from others dealing with similar situations. I also want to extend my support to others here that might be finding caregiving to be at times more difficult then they had anticipated (I know I am). I know I am new here, but please feel free to message me about anything concerning this subject.

what your doing is awesome, remember to get others involved so when you need a break you have a sitter to stand in for you

Hi, sorry I didn't get to this till now... Wow what a big job!
Try and keep your perspective. She's an adult who made her own decisions. You don't have to suffer because of any of those decisions. (If you don't understand this now, you will later ![]() There is a good book entitled something like Taking Care of Your Aging Parents... I think is has some good stuff in there for you, too... things like paper work that needs to be done now and handy for later...to taking the rest that you need, indeed! TC
