I am trying to cope with my adult daughter who lives with us. My daughter was in college last semester and had a few episodes at school and had to have a medical leave. Depression /arguing with people. This all started in November. She has been to 3 therapy appt. Also getting physical and bloodtest. endocrinologist next week.In the mean time she has not been leaving the house too much. Her car is not working.Trying to figure out how to keep her ocuupied till nxt week. Im calling her therapist tmrw. thanks

what distractions do you have to offer her? can you rent cheap comedies to lighten her mood. watch a marathon season of something on netflicks. bake something togeter. get some coloring books or puzzle books for her. does she crochet or knit. quilt. read. go for walks. help with cleaning the house. good luck with the doctors.

Hi Thank you for ideas. my daughter has no friends right now. Basically doesn't want to do to much with my husband and I. She went to mall with me on the weekend amazing. She is watching TV constantly on the internet. Counseling apt next week. I spoke with c ouselor she noted she wouldn't get meds for several weeks.Don't know if we or she can wait that long.She's on medicade not whole lot of options here in Ohio. 7 years ago she was in 2 hospitals. They try different meds didn't work out well at all. She has a younger brother here he's 21. We work full time. Thanks for ideas I'm really trying

i'm glad she is going to therapy; keep her on that. well done for being there for her as well, you sound very supportive.
