I was looking for the partners of people with BPD who can share their ways and things they do to help themselves and their partner cope up with life and maintain peace. Discussing might help us all.

anushka, thank you for your question. Many people are away this holiday weekend. Besides responses from posters, Psych Central also has blogs and articles that discuss coping with BPD.
Psych Central - Search results for Coping with bpd Hope this is a help.

Hey Anushka,
I've been with my bipolar wife for 16 years and have 4 kids with her. It has been far from a easy road but I'm still here. I'm pretty much at the same place you are, but here's what I've managed to learn over the years. They need to be on meds, always and stick with it till you find the right balance. They need to be in therapy and get coping skills for what there going though. You can't help a person that doesn't see a problem or want help. You have to be selfless but at the same time you have got to try and make yourself happy to. These people have a disease they are not the disease. They need love, hate the disease not the person. There is always going to be ups and downs, hold on to the ups and try to get though the downs the best you can. Lots of love, Den |
