One of the most annoying things about living with a narcisist is that they have to outcompete everything I say. If I say "I'm tired because I got up early." They have to instantly say "I got up earlier."
If say I had a long day, they insist their day was longer. If I stayed up half the night working, they insist that they stayed up later. They can't ever just let you say anything in passing without devaluing your experiences by saying they had a bigger, longer, more significant version of that experience. I'm trying to forget about the last incident, but it's annoying the heck out of my while try to work. Does anyone else know someone like that? |
