My friend I take care of has a sister and children and grand children that have disowned her because of her bipolar. I have a hard time understanding why her own children would do this? She will go visit them in another city and they will not come to the door. It is heart breaking to hear.

I read your other post about should she drive, and it just clicked. Why is she travelling during the covid pandemic quarantine? Most states have orders to stay home. It feels to me like she is trying to bring her chaos into her sister's and children's homes at a time when it could be a matter of life and death.

Some people with bipolar have parentified their kids, or abused their kids in episode or their episodes caused ciaos that the kids can't forgive. Or she compensated to much and raised asshole kids. The best thing she can do is get and stay healthy then invite each child to a therapy session. This can be over the phone if the distance is to far.

Her kid's told me at one time she would say she wants to die in front of them all the time when they was 9 years old. and now they in their 40's. Her dead husband never made her take medicine for 30 years till she pulled a knife on him over moving too another state. He didn't want to move but she wanted to and she changed her mind after they moved.

You guys live together right? if I remember correctly your dealing with health issues that has you at high risk.. Her driving around? going to her kids house? There is a Pandemic, I would not blame someone for not opening the door...

And if there is a history of abuse ...Yes her talking about killing herself to her children is abusive, they suffered trauma.. I think you have mentioned shes abusive towards you, Her yelling and demanding is abuse.

Honestly due to your health problems there should be only one person leaving your home to go get food, meds and supplies. And it should be you, as she is not thinking about anyone else...

Is there anywhere you can go to get away from her? move in with a family member or friend??? I commend you on your ability to stay to help take care of her but there are limits and shes crossing them.

I dont know if you have children of your own but any loved one in your life, consider what advice you would give them if they were with someone like her??

Stay safe

Her children are talking to her now and even coming to house to visit after many years not doing anything. Her children thought she might die because of health problems and changed there minds about not coming to visit I think.
