How are you holding up with all these changes. Caregiving can be very stressful. Self care is so important for a caregiver to maintain to keep themselves on stable ground. @CANDC __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |

Hi Bob1960 - I am not sure what your girl friend might do, but the combination of bipolar and dementia can make coping more difficult.

@Bob1960 - I hear you things can happen that do not make sense. My SO when they are on antidepressants can get an unsatiable appetite which leads to weight gain. Nothing I say helps them cut back on food.
Hope you are taking care of yourself too. That is probably the best thing I do because if something happens to me, then who is going to take care of them? __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |

Now I'm having health problems with my eye sight. Taking shots in both eyes every two months for Diabetic nerve damage for rest of my life the eye doctor says.
Friend Dementia has gotten worse. Been told she might have to go into a nursing home her sister said. In the past nursing homes told us they wouldn't take her because of her bi-polar. She only makes 1200.00 a month on her SS and could see this not enough for a nursing home. |

@Bob1960 - that sounds like a rough thing to have to do every 2 months. Getting to the point of not being able to take care of oneself like your friend.
