Anybody have a clue where in Illinois one would go to get paid for caretaking? I've been doing this non-gratis, but I'm expected to pay my half of the bills as well. I have taken care of many people in thier homes as a nurse in other states, but I'm not licsenced in this state, nor do I want to be, I'm not looking to be paid LPN wages. We had an interview with DORS, and if they qualify her they are willing to pay me for 30 hours a week which will help, problem is I'm working a minimum of 15 hours a day, I don't even care if all my time is covered, but I can't survive on 30 hours at thier pay rate. I know there's a way to get paid, I just don't know what it is here. I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks
