I just got back from the hospital visiting him. He didn't get to go home today as he had hoped. The doctor wanted to take him off some of the meds they have him on and wanted him to be in the hospital when they did that just to be safe. So dad is hoping tomorrow or Monday. I am betting on Monday because it isn't very often they release on Sunday's.

He seems to be in good spirits. He teased me about Tyger he told me to give him extra pets then in the next breath said wait a minute give him the boot that is what I would do. He claims to not like cats but we know better LOL. So he is getting back to his old self. That makes me feel a lot better. We also were commenting on the fact that no one has sent him flowers or balloons or anything and he said maybe he doesn't count on anyone's radar. I felt bad that I don't have the money to send him any flowers. I was surprised that his church didn't send him any but then again he goes to a very small church and if his church sent everyone that goes to the hospital flowers they'd go bankrupt. Oh well maybe someone will finally send him flowers.

But I am feeling better about the whole thing and the fact that he is getting better and stronger helps matters.

Jan

I am glad that your dad is feeling a bit better. Maybe you could draw him some pretty flowers or make a flower collage out of magazine pictures and deliver it to him personally.

I'm glad he's doing well!

Possibly he didn't get flowers because he was in ICU and no flowers are allowed there. So if someone called about sending some they would have been told that.

jan, i bet your dad still spells love t.i.m.e. you are there for your dad and that is the most important thing you can do for him.

i hope you are feeling better as his condition improves. take care of yourself too while this goes on. you are stressed ya know by all this. try to h.a.l.t. stop before you become:

too hungy
too angry
too lonely
too tired

if you care for yourself you will be able to care for him when you need to. i'm happy that some of the strain is easing. hugs

I haven't called out there to see how he is doing as both he and mom usually nap on Sunday afternoons and I didn't want to interuppt their naps. I will call out there tonight and then update after I know more then.
