I've been with my boyfriend 8.5 years and through multiple discards and hoovers. I'm exhausted but the worse part is finding out the extent of his cheating just recently.

He always twisted time frames when we split and I found out about this person or that person, but came back because he insisted it was while we were broken up.

This time he can't twist anything. He is caught. No excuses even though he is spewing nonsense. We aren't together because I'm not having it anymore.

My question is why? Just why? Why?

Narcisissts do not need a why.. they just do things that suit them.

I love him and I don't forgive him, so its time for me to go to counseling because I can't do another decade of this.

My paternal unit (father) was a Narcissist. He had an.... interesting... relationship with different women having had me. I agree, they do not need a ''why'' they just do things that suit THEM.

Would he be willing to go to counselling? (naturally my paternal unit was not, nothing was ever his fault and he could do no wrong )

Why? Because they need a constant supply of admiration, praise, attention.. and they're unable to receive enough of it from one person. They really can't function without it.. and will hurt, sabotage, disregard, stomp on anyone else who gets in their way. They are so insecure with themselves, they need it to help project a false image of themselves (that they're wanted, are special, irresistible, etc).

They don't care because they are only able to feel what they feel and nobody else.

I'm glad you got out. Now please, stay out! 🤗
