I was diagnosed with bipolar a couple years ago, but with BPD a few months ago. I read a lot of books on BP, and have been reading on BPS, but its so much more confusing! Anybody ele find this to be true? I mean I can see A LOT of my behaviors in what I'm reading, but still dont understand why.

Yep, it's confusing. It all is.
After years o fhard experience and kicking against my diagnosis I'm finally coming to terms with the idea that the "label" they stick on you doesn't really matter; what does is recognising the individual behaviour patterns which relate to oneself & trying to deal with them.

Yeah babe, its a tricky one. I was dx bpd 15 years ago and dx bipolar II in 2007. I take my lithium and see my shrinks and be as kind to myself as I can. I can see the differences in the dx's but I am so tired of dx's, I just put them all in one big pot now and just deal with whatever pops up on the day.

Maybe I should get some t-shirts printed for each different dx? That way no one has to ask me how I am feeling. They can go.....OHhhh, Michah is feeling schizoeffective today!!!......Carry on chaps.

Sorry, just musing aloud and feeling particularly naughty today.

Keep posting babe.......

Heehee Micah, I like the t-shirt idea!!!! It would save a lot of explanations.
We could print the feeling on & add "Don't even look at me", or "I'm not in this body today" or "Hugs needed" or "liable to throw a hissy fit"

Erm, sorry, I'm in a slightly mischievous mood Probably because it's group therapy tomorrow...

Hehe Michah, so maybe you could say your wearing your emotions on your sleeve?

Ummm... sorry for that horrible joke.

I like the idea of a t-shirt.

"Feeling fine, so go away" "Will go into a rage at slightest provocation!" "Smile at me, I wanna know I exist!"
Thanks for this!
