Thank you all for replying.

Silence. I don't think really it is because I have a " feeling of being safer " when I prefer to stay silence and don't talk about my hurt inside. I don't have the impression that this is why I do this. It is more because I don't want attention on me, don't want people to feel pity on me, don't want people to feel I bother them, don't want to take the space that maybe someone else needs, don't want people to stop in their track just to help me out.

Maybe I simply don't want people to know. But why I do not want people to know? Good question! I don't know.

though, for me, it might not be the actual attention that I don't want-- I think I don't feel that I'm worthy-- so it then makes me feel guilty for getting something I shouldn't have..... I think-- Avoidant Personality Disorder Avoidant Personality Disorder

Time0 you don't have to keep silent--- some here understand that lonely deep quiet cry-- I think it's less painful when shared.

Me too. We learned not to take up space, not to use resources that someone else might want to use, not to be a bother. We learned to be very small and quiet and invisible. Feeling unworthy of love and attention is there too.

It's okay to be seen and heard though. We can't learn from you and your experiences if you don't share them, and I know that you have a lot that is worth sharing.
