What is the general definition of a personality disorder?

I think it is a disorder that affects your emotions that is personality based, not biologically based like a mood disorder is. it interferes with your functioning.

Wikipedia has a very good definition of it. Basically it means being maladjusted to life, or not reacting properly to social situations. Have you done any reading on it?
