I'm tired of posting because I don't like admitting my faults, and yet, it seems this is the only release I have.
I'm sitting in a world I don't like, one which I have created, or at least helped create, and I'm struggling to find a way to make it better. To find better ways to react to my world. I also tend to avoid painful experiences. Lately, I've done very little except get online and converse with people in different message boards (one devoted to personality types, the other devoted to philosophy). I like the interaction, but I own my own business and virtually nothing is getting done. The one good thing I see is that I am actually pretty good at debating. And I can see myself doing some writing. I've also been meeting in real life with some other people who are interested in philosophy. So, there's that. Now if I could just find a way to make these interests work for me.

I am so sorry you are suffering from painful experiences. Having your own business and not doing stuff means you hurt yourself and anyone that is depending on you. What I have done to counteract that is to make a schedule and stick to it, working so many hours and then reward myself by spending time online. It is a game, but it is better than being homeless which might happen if I never worked. Or I might have to keep working forever.

One bit of philosophy that I know, is that if something exists, the opposite exists. Good and bad, for example. The bad thing about philosophy is that it makes we think too much. Accept that you and this world are uncertain and flawed.
Spend time to reflect on your past, recover from emotional pain, prepare, and move on. |
