I had a hypomanic episode about a year and a half ago. Im not sure if it was endogenous (triggered by paxil, insomnia and stress) or that it is personality related. But I did things I regret and feel ashamed of. I don't even wanna see my parents cuz they dont support me and even blame me. Since that episode I am very very depressed and on top of that so anxious that I hardly go outside, just the necessary things like shopping or going to get my meds.

How can I overcome those feelings of guilt?

Is there a relation between personality disorders and bipolarity?

Dx: Mix anhedonia with Bipolar II. Add some insomnia and chronic stress. Season with paroxetine and a pinch of ADD. Stir well to induce a couple of hypo/manic episodes. After the excess of energy is gone, remove the Paroxetine and serve chilled with some C-PTSD and GAD. Ready is your MDD.

Mx: To clean up the mess use lamotrigine, r
isperidon, mirtazapine and sertraline. Let it soak in for a while but keep a close eye on it. Meanwhile enjoy your desert of oxazepam/temazepam prn.

not really IMO. personality disorders can be co-morbid with bipolar, though. Hypomanic or triggers aren't necessarily pathologically related, they are chemical. both can go along with depression, but a personality disorder is not considered in the same category as bipolar.
Think of a personality disorder as more a disordered pattern of thinking on a 24/7 basis. I'm not a psychiatrist, though.

I read something about narcissist hypomania. Does that really exist?

Anyway, during this episode, whatever it was, I damaged a lot and messed up my life pretty much

maybe they meant narcissistic personality experiencing hypomania. However, some personality disorders can have rapid mood swings.

I cant find the article anymore but it was about so called narcissist supply and that a narcissist can exhibit maic like symptoms. The big difference however is that bipolar mania is accompanied by excess of energy and not just grandiosity.
