How much stock do you put in to an online quiz? A friend of mine made a comment about me being a narcissist so I took a quiz and scored a 25, it says that celebrities score around an 18 and over a 20 is a narcissist. A lot of the aspects fit. Plus I have been having some issues and just can't seem to cope. So I took another online quiz and got the results below. After researching the disorders and symptoms of them, they all fit. I mean there's a few things in some of them that aren't me but for the moat part they all describe me. And if that's the case it seems like I'm just a big ball of crazy and idk how my husband even puts up with me.

Paranoid- HIGH
Schizoid- LOW
Schizotypal- VERY HIGH
Antisocial- MODERATE
Borderline- HIGH
Histrionic- HIGH
Narcissist- HIGH
Avoidant- HIGH
Dependent- HIGH
Obsessive-compulsive- MODERATE

I don't put much stock in online quizzes, after all, I don't know if the person that wrote it even knows anything about the issues. I try to take them with a grain of salt and not let them worry me, after all that's why I have a psychiatrist and a therapist, is to tell me what I need to work on.

I get that. I know I have issues and I'm trying to figure them out but I've recently come to the conclusion I can't do it on my own. Calling a psychologist on Tuesday to schedule an evaluation and start the process of getting right cause it's effecting my marriage and my daughter is starting to act just like me.

Online quizzes are generally in the ballpark for me but like anything on the internet I take it with a grain of salt. If I really want to get an accurate assessment I ask a competent professional(which are stupidly hard to come by. )

Most people have traits of personality disorders, a diagnosis is made (or rather, should be made) based on the consistency of said symptoms and how much they impact the individual's life across a variety of contexts. I have traits of antisocial, histrionic, and borderline personality disorders for example but I don't make the cut so to speak to diagnose me with any of those disorders.

Well my husband thinks I'm selfish and self centered and really needy. And I know I have I constant need for attention. I'm also very over critical of myself and have a low self-esteem, even though no one really knows that cause I don't let people see that side of me. The real me and the me most people see are completely different people. Here lately my stress level has been through the roof and I truly feel like I'm on the verge of a mental breakdown. I've finally made the call and set up an appointment with a psychologist cause I just can't cope anymore.

It sounds like you must really be struggling. I hope that the psychologist you made an appointment with can help you. I've finally found the right therapist that can really work with me and my life has been going a lot better since. I wish you the best of luck.
